Vakkaya Kobbari Roti Pachadi (Carissa Spinarum and Coconut Chutney)


Vakaya Roti Pachadi :
 


Ingredients :
1. Vakkaya (deseeded)          : 1 cup
2. Fresh Coconut (grated)     : 1 cup
3. Urad dal                            : 1 tbsp
4. Methi                                 : 1/2 tbsp
5. Chenna dal                        : 1/2 tbsp
6. Mustard                             : 1/4 tbsp
7. Jeera                           : 1/4 tbsp
8. Fenugreek                  : 1/4 tbsp
9. Red chillies                :  4 no's
10. Salt                           : To Taste
11. Turmeric.                 : pinch

For Seasoning:
 
1. Oil                : 1/2 tbsp
2. Mustard       : 1/8 tbsp
3. Urad dal       : 1 tbsp
4. Red chillies.  : 2 no's
5. Curry leaves : 7

Procedure:
 
1. Heat oil in a pan, then add urad dal, chenna dal, fenugreek, mustard, jeera and red chillies and fry till they turn reddish brown.
2. Now add grated coconut and chopped vakkaya pieces to it.
3. Add salt,turmeric and grind them.
4. Heat oil add mustard, urad dal red chillies, curry leaves and fry them.
5. Add this seasoning to the grinded chutney and mix well.

Vakkaya Kobbari Roti Pachadi is ready. Help yourself with hot rice and ghee.
